SafeSport Modules
All coaches and referees are required to take the SafeSport course. The course consists of the 3 modules below. To take the modules, click on each title to access it. This will take you to the SafeSport site. If you have not already logged-in, you will be asked to do so with your USA Rugby credentials. This will then take you directly to the SafeSport site where you will then take that module.
Rookie Rugby Instructor Course 2019
Rookie Rugby is the introductory game for rugby in America. Kids, parents, teachers, fans, referees and coaches learn and compete in a simplified version of rugby played with flag belts. The rules and programs of Rookie Rugby tie together child development, healthy activity, fair play, fun and safety. Rookie Rugby is the official start of the player pathway for USA Rugby and is used in PE classrooms, after-school programs, community programs and rugby clubs throughout the USA.

D1A College Eligibility Review
This course is designed to address the common issues and misconceptions associated with D1A college rugby eligibility.

Rugby Touch Judge Course – Referee 1001
Your first step in the match official experience. Being a tough judge is an enjoyable way to be involved with the game and allows you to gain experience in understanding how a game is officiated. This is for parents, players, coaches or anyone who wants to help improve the game.
You will start with some very basic information that will help you get started as a touch judge. Your next steps will be with your local referee organization who will find appropriate matches for you.

Oregon SRO Touch Judge Course
Your first step in the match official experience.
The Touch Judge coures will prepare you to start your journey as a match official. You will learn the basics of being a touch judge with topics such as:
- What does "in touch" mean?
- Refere hand signals
- The basics of the laws of rugby
- Flag signals to use while you are a Touch Judge.
Game Management Guidelines
This course will give you an overview of the Game Management Guidelines and current law interpretations for this cycle.
